Many grape farmers new to the grape growing industry encounter the same issues such as choosing the right grapes for the best wine, protection of grapes from birds and wasps, saving the grapes from the various fungus diseases that grapes are prone to, and adding support to the grape vines themselves. These are just some examples of the types of grape growing questions that I hear from fellow grape farmers all the time. However, I have done my best to cover every section of grape growing in this website. If you happen to stumble across a setback or experience unpredictable complications, do not hesitate to use the contact section below and submit your questions. I will do my best to reply in a timely manner and will update this site with detailed information regarding your very same concerns so that future grape growers won't have to experience the same issues.

Grape Growing has been in my blood since the mid 1900s. My father was a full time grape grower back in the day and ever since I was a child, I was taught how to prune grapevines and participate in the grapevine planting procedures. Since I was introduced to it very young, I never looked at it as a chore but more like a fun experience. As a child, I tended to enjoy working in the farm with the other adult farmers and felt like I was one of them. Once I was old enough to understand that grape growing was not a game but a serious job, my attitude towards it changed and for a while, I did not want to do it anymore. That ofcourse did not last very long and it's funny how I have spent the last 30 years of my life growing wine grapes and planting and pruning grapevines in my backyard ever since. And the best part of it all is that I'm doing it as a hobby, because it is in my blood and I realize now that I can't live without the thrill and personal satisfaction of growing my own grapes and making my own wine. I hope you feel the same way too because it is the sole purpose of this website...to share the passion of backyard grape growing with fellow grape farmers and form a community of Grape Growing Secrets. Enjoy.
